Style:
Choosing a photographer, includes choosing a style. My preference is to shoot with natural light, in natural settings such as your home, or outdoors. I find the smiles and expressions are so much more genuine in these settings, and that is what I am after. I love bold, bright colors, and use post processing techniques that make the pictures look vibrant but natural. Unique, vibrant, natural beauty, that's my "style".


Session:
Depending on what type of session is booked, it could take anywhere from 1-4 hours. Newborn sessions generally take longer, as there are usually breaks for feeding, changing, cuddling, etc. For family and engagement sessions I suggest coordinating the outfits somewhat. Similar colors, but not completely matched outfits look best. Simple but fun outfits, nothing with labels/words, and black and white in moderation. Feel free to bring accessories, bright scarves, hats, toys, etc., these can add an extra uniqueness and texture to the photos. If you are unsure, feel free to have a few outfits ready, or i'm always available to discuss prior to the session.


Maternity:
Maternity sessions are best if done around 32-36 weeks. This ensures your belly is very much a belly, and you are hopefully still feeling up for something like modelling for photos. Tight fitting outfits, that accentuate the belly are best. Its always fun to have multiple outfits to work with


Newborns:
It is best to photograph newborns within the first 10 days of life. This is when they are the most sleepy and flexible, making those adorable newborn poses much easier to accomplish. Please book newborn sessions as soon as possible, we will choose a tentative date, which can be easily changed if baby decides to come early or late.  If we aren't able to capture your newborn within the first 10 days, simply try to book your session as soon as possible. I will come to your home with a variety of props, but will also incorporate things in your home to make the photos more personalized. I am always available to discuss any questions prior to the session.
