Griffin is ONE!

Seriously you guys how has another year gone by. I just blinked and Griffin turned ONE! I'm slightly late with his 1 year post, but better late than never! I have had such an amazing year off with my boys, and just cannot believe how lucky we are to have these 2 amazing little guys in our lives. Thank you for being the absolute chillest, sweetest, happiest baby we could ever ask for Griffin! You really have been such an easy baby, fingers crossed you keep the momentum going into toddlerhood! Griffin's birthday month was a fun one, I took far too many photos, but couldn't help myself because I mean just look at that face! He was a fabulous cake smasher, and dove right in (just like his brother did). We celebrated his big day with a super fun birthday party that included a bouncy castle, bubbles, and awesome company. Thanks to everyone that came over to celebrate with us!

So as of 1 year Griffin is:

- Getting around quickly by crawling forwards, and still using the occasional roll to get around
- Enjoys standing when we prop him up on the couch or ottoman or anything really, but is still pretty wobbly
- Loves snuggling with his stuffed animals, he sleeps with his blue dinosaur
- Has so much blonde hair, i'm pretty sure nobody would ever guess he's 1/4 chinese
- Loves watching Coen and playing with him, but gets slightly upset when Coen won't share his toys (or when he grabs them out of his hand)
- Says ticky ticky and i'm pretty sure it's because everyone loves to tickle him because he has the best laugh in the world.
- Does a ridiculously cute scrunched face smile lately
- Is a fantastic eater
- Has 8 teeth
- LOVES splashing in the tub, like I never escape dry. He also loves to splash in the dog's water dish, I have to remember to move it when he's on the floor
- Is wearing 12-18 month clothing and 4/5 diapers
- Loves mum mums and feeding himself cheerios (and spilling them EVERYWHERE)
- Really only gets upset if he is hungry or tired
- Still napping twice a day and goes to bed around 6:30 (up at 5:30 most days which I hope changes soon)

Griffin - 11 months old

11 months old … how is my baby 11 months old people!? I'm seriously in denial. I can't even believe how fast this is going by.

So as of 11 months

- he is pretty mobile, but mainly gets around by rolling, crawling backwards and rotating
- is a chatterbox, making the cutest babbling sounds, and the best is when he yells at his Dad when he gets super excited
- he seems to copy sounds he hears us make
- loves to stand, can hold himself up if propped up on the couch
- gets mad if anyone takes a toy away from him that he was playing with
- goes to bed around 6:30, and recently pushed his wake up time to 6 (from 5) which i am grateful for. - - still naps twice a day for 1-2 hours each time
- he always wakes up babbling, which is a pretty awesome sound to wake up to
- still super chill, he only gets fussy if he is hungry or tired
- laughs so much and so easily
- still afraid of strangers sometimes, but starting to warm up a bit easier
- does a fantastic baby plank

Griffin - 10 months old

I'm in denial but i'm just going to have to deal with it … my baby is 10 months old!

So as of 10 months:
- he is finally mobile! Rolls around everywhere and crawling backwards!
- loves jumping in his exersaucer
- is currently getting 6 teeth at once! Looks like a vampire as his top side ones popped through before the middles ones did. But they are coming! The top 4 and side bottoms, so he will have a total of 8 teeth once they are all through. Nobody would ever know it though, he is still the happiest most content little man.
- Continues to have a 1-2 hour morning and afternoon nap, and goes to bed 6:30- wakes around 5/5:30 but i'm pretty sure it's because Coen wakes him up
- Fabulous eater, and is thoroughly enjoying the non pureed stage. Loves feeding himself, but it's rather messy :)
- So easy to make this kid laugh, and just look at him and he smiles. :)
- Makes the best sounds, and seems to enjoy the sound of his voice
- has a good head of hair, and it's quite blonde
- makes all kinds of adorable sounds

Griffin - 9 months old

9 months old! Griffin is 9 months old people! Can someone please tell him to slow down!

So at 9 months:

-he weighs 21 lbs

-has graduated to sitting in the shopping cart, which makes life MUCH easier

-also sits like a champ in our new chariot and even naps occasionally in it while mama is running

-I still use the bucket seat sometimes with the other stroller, more just because i've been too lazy to lug out the second seat.

-has finally started rolling around a bit more, back to belly is a piece of cake, belly to back still takes some effort

-also finally has figured out the jolly jumper is a joyous thing to be in, he also is so content in the exersaucer

-goes to bed around 6-6:30 and wakes most days around 5am, will usually nurse and go back to sleep until 6/7/8 (basically whenever Coen wakes him up)
-has developed a nap routine, usually a morning nap for 1-2 hours, and again in the afternoon for 1-2 hours. He just became so easy, put him down happy and awake and he just goes to sleep, no crying or fussing at all.
-is such a good eater, still has yet to refuse anything. Just not terribly coordinated with getting finger foods in his mouth yet

- reaches for everything and anything
- started shaking his head from side to side (first step in saying no)
- enjoys mum mums and puffs when he can get them in his mouth
- a bit shy around strangers lately

Griffin - 8 months old

Griffin is 8 months old and spring has sprung!

So as of 8 months:
- he has his 2 bottom teeth
- he can sit up unsupported (although I still keep a pillow behind him just in case)
- goes to bed around 6:30 and wakes for a feeding around 5am, then usually back to bed until 8am
- still not a big fan of naps in his crib though, and i'm sure it has something to do with us always being out and about. He seems to have a consistent morning nap in the car seat and often a late afternoon one.
- such a good eater, has yet to refuse anything we've given him
- grabs at books when we read to him
- grabs his toys and puts everything in his mouth
- found his toes and occasionaly enjoys munching on them
- wears 6-12 mo clothes and size 3 diapers
- has the biggest smiles for his brother
- has the best laughs ever and is so easy to get him to giggle, the best sound ever!

Griffin - 7 months

Griffin is 7 months old!
So i'm not quite sure how but this past month has just flown by, I remember time going by quickly with Coen when I was on mat leave, but this time it just seems to be passing by even faster!

As of 7 months he:

- Weighs 20 lbs!
- Got his first tooth!
- Found his toes and loves to grab on and munch on them
- Is up once a night, most nights. Usually to bed around 6:30 and wakes at 5am for a feeding, but will go back to sleep until 7 or 8, or whenever Coen wakes us all up :)
- Is perfectly content just laying on his back, this guy doesn't roll around much, he has recently been enjoying standing in the exersaucer and watching Coen play, but still doesn't jump in the jolly jumper.
- Loves to eat! He hasn't refused anything we've given him so far.
- Still such a chill smiley little guy
- Continues to be a great on the go napper, and not so great at home
- Can sit up with support
- Has started making an interesting almost growl like sound, i'm wondering if he got that from Coen and his Dinosaur impressions. Too cute!

Griffin - 6 months old

And just like that my baby is half a year old!!

So as of Feb. 20th, Griffin turned 6 months old, and he:

-Weighs 18lbs, 8oz. He is down from the 90th to 75th percentile for wt
-Is still in size 3 diapers and mostly 6-12 month clothes. 9month sleepers and a few 3-6 month outfits that I squeeze him into.
-Still is not a fan of nap time, unless of course he is in his car seat. He will nap in crib occasionally for 45min-1hr but for 2 hours in his car seat.
-Is up once a night, I totally jinxed myself by posting last month that he was sleeping through the night … Usually goes to bed around 7pm and is up between 3-5am, back down and up for the day around 7 or 8am.
-Has started on solids, he enjoys rice cereal and yams so far
-Loves putting anything and everything in his mouth, and particularly enjoys sucking his thumb
-LOVES his brother, and I love seeing the interactions they have together already
-also LOVES the dogs, he stares and smiles at them everytime they walk by
-Is sitting up with support, as well as standing with support
-Still doesn't quite get what he's supposed to do in the jolly jumper
-Makes some adorable sounds and recently has started making a soft sweet "dada" sound. I'm convinced that is just the easiest sound to make ;)

Griffin - 5 months old

Yet another month has passed by, so now I have to call him 5 months old!?

He continues to be a super chill little dude … except during nap time … he does not enjoy napping. As soon as I put him down in the crib the water works start and I just can't handle listening to his sad cries. He naps like a champ in his carseat though, happy as can be when we are out and about.
He weighs 18lbs, I just love his chub
He had his first Christmas, and I must say, Christmas is getting more fun every year
He, dare I say it … is sleeping through the night! To bed around 7pm, awake around 7am.
He is officially sleeping unswaddled, in a sleep sac
He is sleeping in his crib now
He is in size 3 diapers and mostly 6-12 month clothes (9 month sleepers), most 3-6 month clothes are too small!
He can sit with support
He can stand with support
He has rolled from his belly to his back … once
